'Turbulent Mixing and Beyond.' 2nd International Conference 'Turbulent Mixing and Beyond', TMB-2009, has been held on 27 July - 07 August 2009 at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy. It has been organized as the International Conference and Advanced School. It has been held as the ICTP regular activity. We have had over 180 participants, ranging
from students to members of National Academies of Sciences and
Engineering and including researchers from the Universities, National
Laboratories, leading Scientific Institutions and Industry, The TMB-2009 has covered 17 different
topics, maintaining the scope and the interdisciplinary character of
the meeting (Structure of the Conference and School) and has kept the focus on the fundamental
aspects of the problem of non-equilibrium turbulent processes and
on the Objectives of TMB-2009
The success of the
Conference and School has consisted from the successful work of all the participants,
who were responsible and professional researchers, We have been working 8.30 am -
6.30 pm every weekday from
27 July till 07 August, and have had about 170 presentations
including over 60 invited lectures and 15 tutorials (4500
minutes of talks in total), about 40 posters, and two Round Tables.
