Proposal of an optically stimulated luminescence

(*) Summary: The seminar will consider in some detail the technique of optically stimulated luminescence quartenary dating. We shall discuss the possibility of its development from the point of view of the ICTP and, more generally in the context of Africa.

Biodata: Dr. F. O. Ogundare obtained his Ph.D. in the year 2002 from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, after finishing his ICTP condensed Matter Diploma three years earlier. At present he is teaching at the Department of Physics, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. His main research interest in Applied Physics is the field of luminescence studies of phosphors for their eventual application in dosimetry and dating.
