Workshops and Schools One of the main aims of ICTP is to foster the growth of advanced studies and research in the developing countries. Several thousand scientists, the majority of whom come from the developing countries, visit the Centre every year to attend workshops, conferences, training courses, schools, etc. The full list of the ICTP activities can be found here. In addition to the activities organized in Trieste, ICTP organizes activities in developing countries with matching sponsorship and involvement of the local scientific communities.
