The Group works on a variety of topics, the main themes currently being various aspects of neutrino physics and astrophysics, the phenomenology of symmetry breaking and cosmology, the standard model and beyond, duality symmetry in string theory and extended objects, topological field theory with application to D-brane dynamics, statistical field theory and chiral gauge theories on a lattice. This is a section that presently comprises 8 senior scientists and 10 postdoctoral researchers, as well as around 200 other short and long-term visitors per year.
