The Gap continues to enlarge
Despite the many efforts to help developing countries to enter the global economy
via the informatics, the digital divide gap continues to enlarge.
The benefits of today's Communications and Information Technologies
are still far from being at disposal of all.
More than 80 countries have less than 10 telephone lines per 100 inhabitants. And 3
countries over 5 have less than one person that uses Internet.
(Scientific) competitiveness and presence in a globalized world,
specially from remote areas, requieres the access to the net at low costs
and taylored services like eJDS!
