"1st Workshop on Spatial Dynamic Models of Economics and Eco-Systems"

Short Description
The workshop is aimed to discuss and organise a research programme on Spatial Dynamic Models of Economics and Eco-Systems, to be developed by the EEE Programme.
The idea underlying this research topic, a neglected field, is to explain both heterogeneity and modularity of the distribution of population in space. To date, such models have not included the human population. However, harvesting one population at one location not only has implications for the site itself, but it also has implications for the subsequent distribution of populations over the space husbanding the resources in question. An exciting theme for research is the development of policy analysis in spatial models of ecosystems. The findings would be a pre-requisite for developing management rules for those cases where the spatial dimension of resources is of particular significance.
