2-4 May 2005 - ICTP, Trieste, Italy This meeting aimed at discussing about various possible forms of co-operation on environmental economics in the Middle-East, with the final goal of creating a Middle East network on this research field. Representatives from Middle-Eastern countries, SANDEE and CEEPA took part in the discussion. The meeting achieved its purpose and created the "Middle East and North Africa Network of Environmental Economists (MENANEE)", the Secretariat of which will be coordinated by Dr. Mohamed A.K. Abdrabo from Alexandria-Egypt. Follow up efforts are under way to house MENANEE with TWAS regional offices at the Alexandria Library. On December 5-16, 2005, the EEE Programme and MENANEE are organising the 1st Teaching Workshop on Environmental Economics for the Middle East and North Africa. This is the first activity organised by MENANEE. The workshop will be held in the ICTP headquarters, Trieste, Italy. PROGRAMME
