Research
interests:
Low-dimensional
quantum systems
- Nature
of elementary excitations and origin of incommensurabilities in 1D
and quasi-1D frustrated antiferromagnets.
(collaborators: F.H.L. Essler
and A.M. Tsvelik (Brookhaven); M. Fabrizio and M. Zarea (SISSA) )
- Nonperturbative
description of quantum critical points in 1D electron and spin systems (band
insulator to Mott insulator transition in the ionic Hubbard model,
quantum spin chains and ladders in staggered external fields). Generalized
self-dual sine-Gordon models.
(collaborators: M. Fabrizio (SISSA),
A. O Gogolin (Imperial College), F.H.L. Essler (Brookhaven),
P. Lecheminant (Cergy Pontoise), Y.-J. Wang (Dresden) )
- Electron
correlations in carbon nanotubes.
(collaborators: A. O Gogolin (Imperial
College), A.M. Tsvelik (Brookhaven)).
