Welcome to my homepage. I am a physicist, working at both the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics and King's College London, interested in understanding the nature and behaviour of the smallest known constituents of matter and how their behaviour and interactions explain the structure of our Universe.

We investigate these questions using experiments, such as those at the CERN Large Hadron Collider, as well as theoretical models for the behaviour of elementary particles. I actually work on both experiment and theory. On the experimental side I work on the ATLAS experiment at the CERN LHC and on the theoretical side I work on the particle phenomenology which emerges from string and M theory

Like many scientists at the ICTP I am keenly involved in the global mission of the ICTP to promote fundamental science in (so-called) developing countries. This includes the organisation of research and training activities and projects. I have also trained, supervised and/or mentored many post-graduate and post-doctoral physicists from developing countries, many of whom are actively working as researchers in the field of particle physics or in related areas. I am one of the founders of the African School of Fundamental Physics and its Applications (ASP) -- which is a three week graduate summer school on "fundamental physics" which takes place in a different African country every two years.
